Every year, four out of every 10 teenage girls become pregnant.
Texas leads the nation in births to teenage mothers.

In Texas, more than 28,000 teenage girls
will suffer a crisis pregnancy in the next 12 months.
Approximately 5,900 will not result in a live birth. For those
who choose to have the child, rejection by one or both parents
is a common response and many times results in expulsion from
the home. While many choose abortion, we believe abortion is
not the answer. Elizabeth Home is.

Elizabeth Home seeks to bring glory to
God by providing a warm and loving home (free of charge),
for girls and young women facing a crisis pregnancy.
The purpose of Elizabeth Home is to establish an environment
where broken and hurting girls can receive
forgiveness and God's grace and experience new life
through Jesus Christ.

Elizabeth Home strives to see lives changed by ministering
to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each person.
Our ultimate goal is to demonstrate God's love
and to save lives...for eternity.

Our vision is a maternity home staffed with Christian
professionals trained in social services, counseling,
obstetric nursing and education.

Elizabeth Home will give its residents practical training and
guidance in areas of daily living including career planning,
continuation of their education and budget planning, as
well as biblical counseling and spiritual help.

The very heart of our ministry is devoted to helping young
women become mature, stable Christians by applying
God’s truth to their daily lives in a consistent, relevant way.

Young women facing a crisis pregnancy will find our home
a sanctuary of unconditional love and security.

Our approach is designed to meet the needs of young
women of any age through a staff of caring Christians
with a concern for young women in the midst of a crisis
pregnancy.

Special classes will be provided in child care, parenting,
domestic skills, financial management, health care and
nutrition.

Our residents will receive counseling regarding the
options of motherhood versus adoption. Each young
woman will then be allowed to make an individual
decision about her child. If chosen, referrals to adoption
services will be provided. Our staff is ready to help each
young woman with her emotional needs during this time.

The desire of Elizabeth Home is to be a safe maternity
home with the necessary facilities and personnel to ensure
a healthy, well prepared mother and child. Obstetric
services and pre-natal care will be provided by loving
Christians. Residents will receive classes on child birth,
pre-natal care, parenting, and basic life skills. Exercise
and fitness are a part of the daily routine through safe
recreational activities led by trained instructors.

Our vision consists of a Christian staff with a desire to
share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to help each young
woman develop her own personal relationship with the
Lord. Our staff will also teach moral values through a
biblical perspective.

Emotional needs of each young woman will be met in an
atmosphere of love, acceptance and security. We are
dedicated to helping each young woman form a solid
emotional basis for the future.

We are also committed to rebuilding broken family
relationships.

She needs a beginning and that
beginning starts with you.

Elizabeth Home derives its financial support solely
from concerned individuals, churches, businesses, service
clubs and foundations. When you give a gift to Elizabeth
Home you are a partner in a ministry that extends God’s
love to women who are hurting.

We need you as a partner with us in this ministry.
Although it may not be possible for you to work in a full
time capacity, reaching out to hurting people, you can help
us do it. Your financial support becomes the way to safety
to desperate young women and unborn children.

Our support must come from private sources so that we
are free to pray and teach God’s word. Otherwise, we
would be just another ineffective social program--because
Jesus is the life changer. We invite you to become a
